David Johnson is Division Manager of Civil Engineering for St. Louis region at David Mason + Associates. With 30 years of engineering experience, he provides leadership in design, construction contract administration, and management services for a wide range of civil engineering projects. His expertise includes site development, streetscape improvements, right‑of‑way planning, utilities, grading, drainage, and inspection.

David joined DMA in 2005 and brings practical and solutions‑focused engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in AZ, GA, IL, IN, MO, NV, and OK, and is an active member of the American Society for Civil Engineering and the Environmental & Water Resources Institute.

David’s professional oversight has been instrumental on infrastructure, storm and wastewater, healthcare, and educational projects, and he and his team collaborate with clients on early planning, bidding, construction and completion. He enjoys biking, hiking, gardening and camping with his three children.
