Kara Marfell is Associate Division Manager of Structural Engineering for St. Louis at David Mason + Associates. With 30 years of experience, she helps lead DMA’s structural practice, coordinating the design of educational, healthcare, and commercial facilities. Kara oversees project budgets, submittals, construction administration, and forecasting.

Kara joined DMA in 2014 and strengthens the firm’s structural engineering practice through mentorship, technical leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri and a licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois. Her focus on quality control and process refinement has helped reduce construction‑phase issues while elevating the standard of deliverables produced under her direction.
