Huntington Bank Field

Huntington Bank Field will open in 2029 with a 67,000-person capacity and serve as the home field for the Cleveland Browns as a year-round site for world-class concerts and cultural events. It is designed as a state-of-the art venue to
enhance the fan experience and attract sporting and cultural events to Northeast Ohio. This new fully enclosed football stadium and multi-purpose venue will include arena seating, suite and club levels, retail merchandise areas, themed concessions and restaurants, ticketing, locker and training rooms, and on-site parking. The design is led by Haslam Sports Group and Walter P. Moore (WPM) as the lead structural engineer.

David Mason + Associates (DMA) is supporting WPM on design development through construction administration structural engineering tasks. Project scope includes structural engineering for several independent buildings and site elements: an 86,000 SF operations building and a 35,000 SF team store building, both anticipated to be steel-framed structures on shallow foundations. It also includes design and detailing of miscellaneous site structures including light pole bases, retaining walls, sign supports, and entry gate canopies; design and detailing of smaller concession buildings throughout the stadium; and an isolated structural steel service ramp supporting back-of-house functions. Shallow foundation design including slab-on-grade, pits, steps, and perimeter grade beams is also part of the scope.

DMA is also providing full-time site presence during the construction stage, consistent with WPM’s expectations for
Mode C‑1 services.
