The transportation professionals at DMA include civil engineers, structural engineers, designers, planners, and surveyors experienced in providing transportation solutions to state and local governments as well as the private sector. Our staff has significant experience in the preparation and review of transportation plans. Our technical staff is familiar with transportation designs, surveying, roadway and intersection layout, stormwater management, utility relocation design, construction administration and inspections.
Roadways, bridge design and streetscape design are where we focus our efforts in the transportation space. We provide our services to various public and private customers including MoDOT, IDOT, CDOT, TxDOT and the Illinois Tollway. When it comes to bridge projects we have analyzed and
designed both existing and new bridge structures made of varying material types including; steel, concrete and timber. We are well versed with federal, state and local requirements for bridge design and roadway rehabilitation projects. Our roadway projects include overlays, road re-channelization, new alignments, widening, striping projects, shouldering efforts and ramp designs. DMA’s streetscape projects vary in size and
complexity. Our goal is to create a place that is aesthetically pleasing to communities and provides functionality for the traveling public. Our understanding of bridge, roadway and streetscape design/construction processes assures our clients that their projects will be completed to full satisfaction.
Structural Engineering
No matter where you go, structural engineering is the framework of our Nation’s foundation.
Civil Engineering
Our civil engineering services help make life better through site development and transportation projects. We partner with hospitals, universities, schools, park districts, private developers, and local government agencies to build the physical infrastructure that keeps us moving forward.
3D Scanning
3D laser scanning techniques are an effective method of creating complete, three dimensional documentation of the spatial geometries of an object. They yield a maximum of information and have unsurpassed accuracy to within a few millimeters. The recording techniques are hands-free which allows hazardous sites to be easily documented from a distance of more than 100m. The 3D data recorded during laser scanning can also be
simultaneously converted into detailed, photo-realistic 3D illustrations. This is achieved by combining real color information from images taken using a high resolution digital camera with the data from the 3D laser scan.
Using these techniques we can provide you with various options for making complete 3D inventory records and recording evidence from temporary objects etc. The systems we employ are also ideal for the visualization of planning projects and for monitoring design ventures.
