Chris Rimsky, PE

Director of Electrical Engineering

Chris is responsible for management and delivery of all electrical power transmission and distribution projects for DMA’s utility customers. As the head of the firm’s electrical substation group, Chris is responsible for proposal preparation, project management, project specific equipment and material specification, protection requirements, schematic and wiring modifications, as well as construction management. Chris and his team support many customer initiatives and project programs by analyzing, modeling and designing our Grid. In Chris’ previous role, he was on the “owner’s side of the table” and those experiences guide his customer service focus for DMA. Previous experiences include lessons learned on all aspects of major public transportation infrastructure projects including light rail extensions, track interlockings, multi-modal centers, maintenance facilities and long range planning studies.

Chris’ father was an electrical engineer who worked in nuclear power generation in eastern Pennsylvania where Chris was born and raised. Along the way, some of that engineering know-how rubbed off on him. His years of working on the client side, in an engineering management role, make him the perfect fit to lead DMA’s electrical engineering group.

For years, people who know Chris say, he has always been rock solid and dependable. Chris has been married for almost 30 years and he and his wife have three kids. When not running calculations, Chris stays busy visiting his son at his alma mater, watching his daughter play college soccer, and getting his other son to hockey games.
