Haley Schmidt

Client Relations - Eastern Region

Haley Schmidt joined David Mason + Associates in 2018 as the firm’s lead Client Relations professional for the Eastern Region. Haley has worked in the AEC industry for almost 20 years, helping several firms to define their business strategies, nurture existing clients, and develop new connections with a variety of professionals.

In her role at DMA, Haley has bolstered the firm’s regional presence by building strategic relationships for both the Philadelphia and Tampa offices. She has positioned DMA prominently among potential clients and partners, including leading institutions and renowned architectural and engineering firms in the region. During her tenure, DMA has gained recognition as a trusted engineering authority in Greater Philadelphia. As DMA directs additional resources toward new markets, Haley has expanded her focus to include the Tampa Bay area in Florida.

Before joining DMA, Haley held the position of Business Development & Marketing Director at an MEP engineering firm. She was also the Director of Strategy for a defense and aerospace company and became well-versed in the stringent requirements for companies seeking federal government contracts. Furthermore, Haley founded FEDbizUP, a successful outsourced business development company dedicated to helping small businesses grow.

Haley’s educational background plays a vital role in her success at DMA. She is a graduate of Rider University, where she studied journalism and public relations, honing her innate talent for creating meaningful connections between people, places, projects, and events. Prior to this, she pursued engineering and physics for a year, fueling her fascination with the fundamentals of architecture and design. This combined set of experiences allows Haley to comprehend complex design projects, and communicate clearly with potential clients and partners, while developing important business relationships.

Haley grew up in the Philadelphia area, and now resides in Tampa, Florida with her husband, Erik (a civil engineer). She loves trying new restaurants, cooking, globetrotting, and enjoys family walks or bike rides around the Tampa Bay area.
