Client Relations - Eastern Region
Haley Schmidt joined David Mason + Associates in 2018 as the firm’s lead Client Relations professional for the Eastern Region. Haley has worked in the area for more than 17 years, helping a number of firms to define their business strategies, nurture existing clients, and develop new business relationships with a variety of professionals within the AEC industry. In her role at DMA, she has worked to establish the firm’s name recognition with potential customers and partners in Philadelphia including the City’s leading institutions and nationally recognized architects and engineering firms.
Before joining DMA, Haley was the marketing and business development director for Miller Remick, an MEP Engineering firm. She also worked at Triman Industries, selling aftermarket spares and parts for tanks, ships and planes and in the process learned the stringent requirements for companies seeking contracts with the federal government. She also created FEDbizUP, an outsourced business development company focused on helping small businesses grow.
Haley’s undergraduate education reflects several aspects of the skills she relies on most days in her work with DMA. She is a graduate of Rider University where she studied journalism and public relations, which refined her natural ability to create connections between people, places, projects, and events. But before she decided on that path, Haley spent a year studying engineering and physics, which she attributes to her long-standing fascination with the fundamentals of architecture and design. This combined set of experiences allows Haley to comprehend complex design projects, and communicate clearly with potential clients and partners, while growing important business relationships.
Haley grew up in the Philadelphia area, and now lives in Center City, Philadelphia with her husband, Erik (a civil engineer), and her miniature dachshund, Ziggy. She loves trying new restaurants, cooking, entertaining friends, and walking around enjoying the city with her family.
