Thomas Kracun, PE

Vice President of Civil Engineering, Special Projects

Thomas Kracun provides overall leadership in the coordination of planning, design and construction processes across multiple disciplines. He successfully manages relationships with building and landscape architects, mechanical and structural engineers, and construction management teams for diverse civil engineering projects. He is responsible for overseeing all civil engineering efforts including site demolition plans, site layouts, utility design, erosion control plans, and stormwater management plans. His range of duties includes preparing budgets and design schedules, directing and allocating project staff, and managing all levels of project coordination. Comprehensive engineering project management is a daily requirement of his responsibilities. He has established a track record of designing functional solutions for unconventional problems, leading teams that provide exceptional design solutions, resulting in projects that exceed client expectations.

Tom has been involved in a broad range of projects that include commercial and residential development, drainage modeling and flood control, utility infrastructure, roadway transportation systems, airport reconstruction, outdoor recreational facilities and sports fields. As a licensed Professional Engineer since 2000 and with over 20 years of project management experience, he has directed the design and construction of meaningful projects that have left a lasting impact on the people they serve.

Born and raised in Chicago, Tom spends his free time with his wife, Bonnie, and their two kids. He is also a relentless DIY enthusiast.
