After 17 years of continued success in Chicago, David Mason + Associates has found our new home at 333 S. Desplaines Street in the West Loop Gate neighborhood. Located within walking distance of Union Station, Oglivie Transportation Center, Greektown, and the future BMO Harris Tower, we are excited to be in one of Chicago’s iconic historic neighborhoods and near yet another landmark office tower as we begin the next chapter in our Chicago story. Operating on an “all oars in the water” approach, DMA’s passion for engineering and infrastructure design continues to blow Windy City strong.

Acquired in May 2019, the historic loft space underwent a full demolition and once exposed, the existing brick walls, wood ceilings, concrete beams, and overhead utilities provided a blank canvas for an amazing architectural transformation. Led by Dani Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald Architecture Planning Design, our design team envisioned an interior aesthetic that offers clean lines and functionality that floods natural light from the floor to ceiling windows to all of our open workstations and glass offices. The color palette and interior finishes include natural earth tones and cool grays with teal and red accents, reflecting DMA’s recent brand refresh.
Completed in November 2019, our team has created a modern industrial loft with meeting and gathering spaces that have re-invigorated our staff and encourage collaboration and community that we feel is critical to our mission. Our new home is a sophisticated nod to the City’s rich architectural history, the daring practicality of infrastructure engineering, and our strong commitment to Chicago.
