“As aĀ civil engineer, there are moments in your career when you get to experience the somewhat euphoric feeling of seeing a design you worked very hard on transposed into the landscape of reality. As one engineer called it, it’s the moment you realize you’ve “changed the map”.
For the past 3+ years, the renewable energy & solar development group atĀ David Mason + Associates (DMA), along with our partners, have been working intensely toĀ designĀ andĀ developĀ large scaleĀ solarĀ plants across the nation. Not the least challenging was a project in Michigan where rolling landscape created unique challenges. Through the very high-level collaboration between both theĀ #DMAĀ team and our partner,Ā McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., we were able to overcome and push the project forward.
And now for the “change the map” moment! The Calhoun Solar Project is the first (but certainly not the last)Ā DMAĀ solar project that has become visible on Google Earth! Check it out!”
