Chicago DFFM – Riverwalk
David Mason + Associates provided structural engineering design and construction administration services for a variety of projects on the Chicago Riverwalk. The boundaries of the Riverwalk are the east side of Lake Shore Drive to the north side of Lake Street from Lower Wacker Drive to the dockwall along the main branch of the Chicago River, including the stairways and ramps between Upper Wacker Drive to the Riverwalk and the Upper Wacker and Wabash Plazas on both sides of Wabash.
These services for the following projects included:
1. Peer review of proposed site improvements from Concession Program Licensees.
2. Design, engineering and construction management of various improvement projects which include for example; new independent structures, public restrooms, storage areas, office space, elevators, landscaping improvements, decorative lighting, public art installation, inspection services for Riverwalk Concession Operators construction projects.
3. Master planning services for possible architectural improvement projects.
