Drexel University Myers Hall Demolition + Restoration

Our team managed the combined engineering services team for the demolition of Myers Hall, a 95,000 GSF three-story residential hall built in 1977.  The project includes the design of restoration of the grounds to create a multi-use open landscape with a non-regulation playing field and green space for casual gathering. It is slated for completion in 2024.

DMA project scope also includes design and documentation of a new 1,500 SF stand-alone switchgear building with decorative brick screen as part of the electrical upgrades Drexel is implementing for that area of the campus.

Permitting efforts were completed through the City of Philadelphia Zoning and Streets Department. Stormwater management design approvals were required from the Philadelphia Water Department and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
