Memorial Hospital East Medical Office Building

This project consists of core and shell construction for a new three story medical office building (MOB) with an approximate total area of 70,000 SF. The building is located at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL. The building is used for both hospital outpatient services, and private physician clinic space.

David Mason + Associates (DMA) and the project team were able to meet the owner’s request to accelerate the project schedule while staying within budget. DMA coordinated with other team members to accommodate energy efficiency and aesthetic requirements stipulated by the architectural team.

During Phase II, DMA performed generation of structural construction documents for the MOB. Structural systems for the $38 million office building include composite steel floor framing and steel bar joist / steel beam roof framing. Concrete roof pads are provided for the mechanical roof top units. Rammed aggregate ground improvement piers were used to support the shallow foundation system. This project also included a concrete structure housing two linear accelerators.
