Boys & Girls Club – Teen Center of Excellence

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis constructed a new multi-level teen center at 9200 West Florissant Avenue in St. Louis, MO. The Structure has a slab-on-grade floor constructed at or near existing grades with a total area of approximately 22,000 square feet. The site for the Teen Excellence Center was partially occupied by an existing single story, slab on grade building which was demolished.

DMA provided civil and structural engineering services for the new facility. The purpose of the new Teen Excellence Center is to house programs and services designated to support the development of teens. According to the website for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis (www.bgcstl.org), the Center is “surrounded by four school districts and houses a nutrition education center, outdoor garden, gymnasium, intellectual commons, theater, green and drama room, fitness zone, gaming room, music and art studio, innovation center and office space”.
