Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra Powell Hall Renovations
David Mason + Associates provided engineering and survey services for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Powell Hall, a nationally recognize concert venue and the home of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. The symphony renovated and expanded its 98-year-old facility to preserve, enhance and modernize its structure. The project goal was to provide the community with greater music access and a more welcoming patron experience. The 65,000-SF expansion includes new spaces: a lobby with additional visitor service access, education center, and backstage area for musicians and staff. Renovations also include new seating, better access from lobby spaces and improved acoustics. The renovated site also has new drop off areas, exterior public spaces, and patron parking.
DMA’s scope included the following civil engineering and surveying services:

Relocation of an existing combined sewer main that bisected the property
