Chicago Housing Authority, Elizabeth David Apartments

David Mason + Associates (DMA) performed a Critical Examination of the 13-story, 106,000-SF Chicago Housing Authority senior housing tower located at 440 N. Drake Avenue. The Critical Examination consisted of hands-on, close-up, visual examinations of the facade to determine the extent of deterioration of the exterior walls, windows and louvers, as well as to identify hazardous and potentially unsafe conditions. In addition to the critical facade inspection, DMA performed a general building assessment, identified and recommended repairs, provided estimated repair costs, assisted with bids, and designed modifications to the existing structure in support of MEP upgrades.
