MoDOT Poplar Street Bridge Interchange

This Missouri Department of Transportation project includes the demolition and reconfiguration of existing ramps on the Missouri side of the Poplar Street Bridge.  The project improved capacity and safety on the ramps and also reconfigures connections between the Poplar Street Bridge, I-55, I-44, and Memorial Drive in downtown St. Louis, MO.

DMA provided structural design support and drainage design for the project.  Our structural engineers were responsible for the analysis of existing superstructure steel cross-frames and curved composite steel girders.  We also provided quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for new bridge decks and girders.  Our Civil Engineers were responsible for pavement drainage design and the design of storm water conveyance systems.

Our survey effort included a combination of traditional surveys using Total Stations, and ground based LiDAR using Faro Technologies Mobile LiDAR.  DMA managed the entire survey effort for the Project and performed all ground based activities including the setting of 95 ground targets with GPS location for the Mobile LiDAR effort.
